I really enjoy cycling and always have done. It will give me stamina, build fitness and hone discipline. I know from previous experience that once I get into a routine the exercise become self feeding.

I haven’t done any serious walking for 15 years. By serious walking I mean walking boots and stiles. Walking was a family past time as a child so I know from experience that my feet will need conditioning as will the muscles in my legs, hips and back.
To this end I will walk at weekends, starting with some local walks I know on evenish and flat ground. Then I will build gradually.
